Board members shape the standards behind every ORBIT designation. If you have done the work, we want to hear from you.
Requirements for board membership
- Senior leadership experience in a chamber of commerce, destination marketing organization, workforce board, economic development agency, or related academic field.
- Demonstrated impact in business, innovation, tourism, or community development.
- Commitment to ORBIT’s mission of global professional recognition.
- Willingness to review certification standards, curricula, and accreditation matters.
- Two professional references.
Terms of service
- Board members serve three-year terms, renewable once.
- The Board meets quarterly, with additional sessions as needed.
- Members serve on at least one advisory committee.
- Service is voluntary and uncompensated.
